In 2018, we present the second edition of our traveling program Intercity Sessions. In this program, we combine music written by local composers and works that are rarely if ever heard in this country.
Ilya Zyblat from The Hague makes a new piece in which he uses the ensemble as an improvising collective. The ensemble literally embraces the audience with the music – as we are set up around the listeners. We also play a work by Alex Sigman, one of the founders of Modelo62, named dlXsf. This is the last part of a cycle based on the cyberpunk novel Vurt by Jeff Noon, in which the story is set in a virtual reality world where dreams are stimulated through the use of psychedelic drugs, and includes songs from the eighties by Manchester bands.
