How does technology change the way we relate to one another? Does it bring us closer, or does it reinforce existing hierarchies? As communication becomes increasingly mediated through machines, does our connection to others shift and open the possibility of relations that extend beyond the human?
Becoming explores the crossroad of humans and machines, and how new forms of intimacy and hierarchy can emerge from that encounter.
Created by Sól Ey in collaboration with Modelo62, this participatory performance-installation invites visitors to step into a sensory environment of interactive soundscape and breathing forms. Audiences enter a space which is filled with gigantic organ-like scenography and musical sculptures, and are free to roam around at their own pace. Over time, relationships shift and space transforms — constantly creating new layers to explore.
