Soundeconstruction Hugo Morales Murguia

Hugo Morales' current work focuses on the development of alternative instruments for sound oriented composition through the extension of traditional instruments and/or implementations of rudimentary objects. Various technological applications, physical sound processes and unconventional instrumental techniques are elements that usually define his musical compositions and performances. We will be presenting a series of 3 pieces made especially for Modelo62.
Dialoguing with his influences, Hugo has been invited to co-curate the rest of the program, which will include pieces by John Cage, Alvin Lucier , as well as a world premiere by the eminent Dutch composer Gilius Van Bergeijk.
